Astronauts Wanted - SpaceUp is landing in NZ (27-Nov-2013)

120 future astronauts and space professionals are invited to take part in New Zealand’s first 'all things space' conference. SpaceUp NZ adopts the ‘unconference’ format, whereby participants are invited to actively contribute in presentations and talks on a variety of space themes.

It’s taking place on the weekend of 15-16 February 2014, at AUT University in Auckland. Registrations are open now at www.SpaceUp.org.nz.

Mission Heights Primary School lives up to name (20-Feb-2013)

Auckland's Mission Heights Primary School has been on a "mission high" recently, communicating with a crew on a mock Mars exploration mission in the Utah desert.

David  Wilcock's Year four class were able to interact live with the TasMars mission (via Skype), as the team wore spacesuits and explored the Mars-like environment around the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah.

Kiwi students get rare chance to follow "Mars Mission" (29-Jan-2013)

Kiwi school kids have a rare opportunity to follow a mock Mars Mission at the Mars Desert Research Station in the Utah desert for the next two weeks.

The TasMars 2013 Team - following on from last year's KiwiMars mission - has just begun a two-week analogue mission to study planetary science, engineering, biosecurity and human factors at the mock Mars base.

Ten teams of year 7 & 8 students battled it out for the title of best rocket scientist, in the inaugural NZ Rocketry Challenge on Sunday, at Ambury Regional Park in Auckland.

Twelve teams of students will be vying for the title of best rocket scientist this weekend, as they compete in the inaugural NZ Rocketry Challenge at Ambury Regional Park near Mangere Bridge, Auckland.
