The Association
The New Zealand Spaceflight Association (NZSA) was formed in May 1977 and became an incorporated society four years later. The NZSA is a non-profit organisation which exists to promote an informed approach to astronautics and related sciences through: - Monthly meetings in Auckland and Wellington where members can meet each other, keep abreast of current spaceflight developments, view spaceflight videos and slides, and hear lectures on the subject;
- Publication of a two-monthly magazine, Liftoff, covering a wide range of spaceflight activities from around the world;
- Mounting displays to further public interest in and knowledge of spaceflight activities;
- Provision of guest speakers to community organisations;
- Keeping the news media informed of spaceflight activities.
Although most members of the NZSA live in New Zealand, there is also good representation from other countries, including Australia, U.S.A. and Europe. Any person interested in the advancement of astronautics or of the Association may join by completing the membership application and mailing it with the appropriate fee to the address on the form. Come with us now as we explore the final frontier - to find out more, why not come along to a meeting or, to join the NZSA, click on MEMBERSHIP. ************************************************ What we DO NOT do: * We are not a political organisation and currently have no connection to any Space Industry Company or manufacturer. * We do not follow nor have any connection to UFO research organisations. * If you are a UFO enthusiast or follower of Conspiracy Theories, then the N.Z.S.A. is probably not for you!
