SPACE APPS / AUCKLAND, 2015 & 2016

A weekend to
make something possible.

Developers, designers, scientists and curious people brought their ideas to NASA’s International Space Apps Challenge. KiwiSpace collaborated in the Auckland events.

Space Apps emblemNASA International Space Apps Challenge, Auckland

Space questions.
Earthly ingenuity.

Space Apps turned open challenges into a shared exercise in invention: form a team, choose a problem, and build a response over a weekend.

The Auckland events at AUT University brought together different disciplines to explore space and life on Earth. The results ranged from wearable controls and water mapping to holographic launches, orbital visualisation and imagined life on Mars.

KiwiSpace was one of the collaborators behind the local events. The entries below are the teams’ concepts from those weekends, rather than claims that every prototype became a finished product.
