Lights are out or missing in the airlock rooms. John and I worked on replacing the fan in the green hab but still needs more work. The spare fan under the green hab works but doesn’t have a guard and the broken fan is welded into it’s guard. The broken fan was removed from the green hab wall. There is another larger plastic fan that was stored in the generator room which is functioning and has a guard. It would work but needs some sort of mount to set it up. John is looking at using some wood from the Antarctica pile to use for this. I looked at replacing the make shift mount for the water pump in the loft to try reduce the noise. The old one was a stack of foam mat pieces, napkins and a tea towel. I tried putting the pump on a couple of pieces of hard foam to see if that worked better. There was no noticeable difference in the sound but it is neater and stable. It would be easier to return to the previous configuration if required. I am considering putting a cardboard box with sound proofing material such as foam and egg cartons inside to reduce the noise. Please let me know if there is any problem with this. I would make it large to fit over and be easily removable for checking.
