*{excerpt}[Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology|http://www.iris.edu/] (IRIS) have produced some powerpoint and PDF presentations, posters and animations for educators to help teach students about the Christchurch earthquakes. These resources allow educators to customise the information for their classes.{excerpt}*

IRIS produces a [set of resources|http://www.iris.edu/hq/retm] called 'Teachable Moments' for earthquakes greater than approximately magnitude 7.0 around the world. They have published presentations for both the 4 September 2010 and 22 February 2011 earthquakes.
